The Power of Trust, The Integrity of Freedom

Sometimes I think I have too much trust in the integrity and goodness of other people. In the past couple of years, particularly among folks I have paid attention to more an more we see the evidence of the incredible flaws made up in human nature. I’ve seen people who I thought were conservative who in the end turned out to be far from it, priests who I thought I could trust who turned out to be bad people, and even met people who I thought were friends who actually barely resembled such a quality.

Disappointment is something that life is filled with. The biggest thing any one of us can do to help fix this problem in the world is to do everything we can to make sure we never become that. Never put your complete trust in anyone other than God. You will always be disappointed in the end if you go off looking for happiness or satisfaction in other places.

We also need to remember something very important this independence day in the Spirit of our Christian faith. God created us to be free. Do not let this day turn into a memorial day of what freedom once was. The opportunities for a country of free thinking, independent people are endless. Lives were spent to preserve this opportunity. It is essential that our fight focus on defeating those who seek to end this very valuable opportunity – one that you can’t find elsewhere in the world.

There is so much talk about universal rights among the left but in a very different way from that of conservatives. Liberals focus on the material, the finite and the hear and now. Conservatives however focus on the eternal, the potential and the bigger picture. Material wealth does not exist without the preservation of our eternal rights. Get rid of the phony in your life, clear it out of your mind. I’ve learned in the last few years, that the realm of people who you can trust and have integrity is a small one, but it still can make a big difference. Don’t be that guy. Stand up for truth, stand up for faith, stand up for freedom, and stand up for one another. God Bless America.
