Bill’s 2 Cents: O-Man at the UN, Islam,The Middle East and rhetorical responses

It’s been a while since I posted anything much less wrote on the website…

As you know, Obama (Which I call him O-Man) was at the UN Tuesday speaking to the general assembly at a conference. He spoke about the recent events in Libya,Egypt and all across the Middle East. Needless to say it seemed alright but not alot of “meat” to it when it comes to the death’s of our fellow Americans that we lost on 9/11 2012. Not to mention the blaming of something that had nothing to do with why it happened and them trying to cover it up. Read more of this post

Another University Plays the Political Correctness Card

Radical secularists have been gnawing at the heals of religious people in this country for quite sometime in this country. People of faith are innately tolerant by the virtues of their own faith in this country, and it’s often why they come under attack the most.

There’s an old line that describes the situation with anything in life – if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Well at Stony Brook, they did exactly that, behind the backs of the majority of the student body. For decades, the school calendar has included recesses from the normal class schedule on the two most important holidays in the Jewish Faith: Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanna. They have also scheduled the spring break to coincide with holy week – an extremely holy week on the Jewish Calander and the holiest week on the Christian Calander. Read more of this post

Timeless stories and Renewed Hope

My priest today gave an amazing talk about inspiration and the roles we can play in the lives of our family members, as well as in the world today. His words reflected the gospel message from this weekend, which was about the transfiguration. If you understand what is going on here, the light represents, truth. This plays to the analogy that without light, the world itself would be a dark place. The light from everything except the the nuclear glowing green, is an analogy for truth. I cannot stress the importance of honesty in everything we do in life. It can had such a profound effect on peoples lives, and is also the mark of a man’s integrity. (that’s a gender nuetral pronoun in that context by the way, look it up) Read more of this post

Muslim Violence in Malaysia, but Islam is Peaceful Right?

I keep trying to give Islam a chance but every time it fails. Reports today surfaced of four Christian churches being brazenly attacked by Muslims following a court decision allowing Christians to use the name Allah to refer to God. If there isn’t enough proof in the pudding already that this is a violent faith – I’m not quite sure what you’re waiting for. It’s not a coincidence that every single war in the world today has at least some connection to Islamist Jihad. Now by no means can you say that all Muslims subscribe to this kind of behavior, but at the same time it is so rampant that it is becoming epidemic in this faith. Read more of this post

The New fight begins on the battlefield of Information

In light of the New Year, this blog is taking a new direction, one that hopefully can have an impact and help people educate themselves. Americans need to put away their bumper stickers and their postage stamps and really try to educate themselves as well as other people. It’s the only chance this country has of returning to its founding principles.

First, Stay Informed! After a year in broadcasting, I can’t tell you how much it outrages me when conservatives call in who have no clue what they are talking about. You do the country a disservice by remaining ignorant. It gives the left a real reason to trash the entire movement. Keep in mind at the same time – I’m just another American trying to learn as well – it does not take much effort to keep up with major current events. Read more of this post
