**UPDATE** Glenn Beck was officially off 710 WOR today 1/17/2011, his last broadcast was Friday. I look forward to their new ratings returns… Those of you in the New York area looking for another way to listen to Glenn can find a free audio stream on the homepage of his website**
Does anyone else notice a strange inconsistency here on wor710.com from January 6th? As the New York Daily News Reports:
Glenn Beck may be one of the hottest talk show hosts in the country, but he apparently left New York‘s WOR cold.
WOR (710 AM), one of the city’s two biggest talk radio stations, said this morning it is dropping Beck’s syndicated show as of Jan. 17 and replacing him with a familiar New York name: Mike Gallagher.
“The reason is ratings,” said WOR program director Scott Lakefield.
However the station’s website has a striking contradiction with a rotating advertisement claiming that popular demand has inspired an online stream of his radio program to be made available via the station website. Now we do know that Glenn’s radio program has regularly and routinely beaten every single other program in the station’s lineup, including the great Michael Savage, who airs during prime time. Glenn’s program was also the first to ever out rate the legendary 770 WABC in any demographic or time slot in the history of the station’s existence. Need that little Graphic on the station’s website blown up for you? here:
