The 3/11 Earthquake was HAARP… Really?

I’m getting sick of there people coming out and saying that HAARP which does experiments with the outer reaches of our Atmosphere can have any impact whatsoever on geologic activity. The one thing that needs to be considered about the atmosphere is it’s equation of state, which we call the hydrostatic balance: Read more of this post

Jacob Barnett’s Amazing Story

I’ve been looking for a real inspiring story for a long time. Just with the way things are for me in life, I have had many time where I have certainly been less than optimistic about the future and life as a whole. Jacob really gives me hope. This is the example of what it takes to really maximize the gifts and talents we have and work hard to become something someday. Read more of this post

Jon Stewarts Act Against Fox Old, Predictable and downright Pathetic

Jon Stewart had Bret Baier, the host of Special Report, on The Daily Show this evening and like every single encounter he has had with hosts from FOX News, immediately all humor left the studio. It disintegrated into the overly cliche ramblings of how FNC is not a legitimate news operation where as Stewart put it: “the main trust of fox is not objective news gathering.” I’m still waiting for the specific examples, by the way. Resolution Breakdown: Three Week Checkup

Twenty-one days ago, we all began a fresh start. What I’ve always been the most perplexed about is how much attention in the limelight of the holidays toward coming up with a resolution to carry us through another chapter of life. My question to many of you out there, is have you been true to yourself to that point or are we back to the old habits of business as usual. I wouldn’t be surprised if many people have already lost their way just three short weeks into the journey. Remember, even those of you who are struggling with personal improvements in life, we can use our imperfections to build character so long as we are willing to admit failure and try again.

If you study the human condition and how we as a species have transformed intellectually from the pre-historic era, you can trace one common thread all the way into the present era. Ingrained in us is the desire for purpose and that there has to be a reason for our existence. It is the building blocks in the theology of most religions today. Why do you think it is that many very wealthy people can be incredibly miserable? In many cases it’s because they have the mistaken notion that there is nothing else for them to accomplish. Regardless of financial state we need to understand the obligation we have to ourselves to be honest and to be cognizant of our neighbors, not forcibly but on our own power.

I Thought 710 WOR Dropped Glenn Beck Over Bad Ratings?

**UPDATE** Glenn Beck was officially off 710 WOR today 1/17/2011, his last broadcast was Friday. I look forward to their new ratings returns… Those of you in the New York area looking for another way to listen to Glenn can find a free audio stream on the homepage of his website**

Does anyone else notice a strange inconsistency here on wor710.com from January 6th? As the New York Daily News Reports:

Glenn Beck may be one of the hottest talk show hosts in the country, but he apparently left New York‘s WOR cold.

WOR (710 AM), one of the city’s two biggest talk radio stations, said this morning it is dropping Beck’s syndicated show as of Jan. 17 and replacing him with a familiar New York name: Mike Gallagher.

“The reason is ratings,” said WOR program director Scott Lakefield.

However the station’s website has a striking contradiction with a rotating advertisement claiming that popular demand has inspired an online stream of his radio program to be made available via the station website. Now we do know that Glenn’s radio program has regularly and routinely beaten every single other program in the station’s lineup, including the great Michael Savage, who airs during prime time. Glenn’s program was also the first to ever out rate the legendary 770 WABC in any demographic or time slot in the history of the station’s existence. Need that little Graphic on the station’s website blown up for you? here:
