Gosnel Avoids the Death Penalty – My Take

We face an incredible force of evil in this world. The explanation for it is simple, man fell and therefore man has a proclivity towards sin. Morality isn’t exactly going to wind up in the middle of some pop culture revival anytime soon. The truth of the matter is that innocent life in this country is going to find greater intersections with evil as time goes on, because much of it has become institutionalized. Unfailing Hope in an Increasingly Hopeless World

Today one of my long time regular customers, an older man, came in for the first time ever without his wife. He didn’t have to say a word to me, I just knew why, and he’s going to need a lot of prayers. Marriage and even relationships have never been something I’ve understood. Overtime I’ve kind of deduced how their supposed to go, but to say that kind of love has been elusive would be an understatement – not that I care. Patriots Day in Boston: Love on Display

There aren’t too many people or moments in the world that make me smile. It’s not because I’m a stoic person or that I have a negative world view. Newtown – Six Weeks Later

There’s an awful lot that goes on in life that we lose track of. Time moves very fast when we’re not paying attention to it. The world however becomes a very different place in the face of tragedy. There are some life difficulties we will never be able to relate to, and hope never to have to. One thing I do know is that when the security of a quaint rural community in Northern Fairfield County, Connecticut is violated in such a horrifying and irreversible way, no matter how fast time is flying the world comes to a screeching halt. That’s exactly how my first stop in Newtown since October when I was in the area for a weather conference went. Here I am, the deaths of 26 innocent souls seemingly ages ago had all been heavily diluted in my memory by the incessant politicization of their deaths. For the people in Newtown; however, this might as well have happened yesterday. It’s that fresh in their minds. Read more of this post
